ABU DHABI, Jan 15 (WAM) - A United Arab Emirates (UAE) newspaper has said that the UAE-Pakistan Assistance Programme (UAE-PAP), launched under the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to strengthen the polio prevention programmes in Pakistan certainly stands out as a shining example of solidarity and co-operation in humanitarian fields.

UAE: Renewable Energy Fund for Caribbean Launches Second Funding Cycle

ABU DHABI, Jan 15 (WAM) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE)-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund, valued at AED183.6 million (US$50 million), has launched its second funding cycle by establishing partnerships with seven new Caribbean countries, on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2018, with the aim of promoting its role in developing the renewable energy sector in Belize, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Lucia.
